much too much

recently after transferring into precalculus, i was engaged in a discussion about the upcoming winter formal.
because i had noticed earlier an adorable nerdy half asian boy (matt) reminiscent of greg from west (stillman), i was struck by the prospect of his accompanying me to the dance. thusly, i proposed, and the response was affirmative.
today, while waiting before class started, matt walked in and smiled at me. we held the smile for a period of at least 3 seconds before my smile successively turned into a grin, and then a laugh. it was a sweet moment, free from the usual hullabaloo regularly associated with adolescent romance.
